Excellence in Teaching

Marc H. Greenberg has been a law professor at ABA certified law schools for over 20 years. He began his academic career as an adjunct professor at GGU in 1992, teaching first Entertainment Law, and then adding Multimedia Law to his repertoire. He has worked as a full time law professor since 2000, holding the positions of Visiting Professor, Associate Professor, and full Professor. He was voted Instructor of the Year in 2001, and received the Faculty Scholarship Award in 2017. Professor Greenberg has also taught as a Visiting Professor at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (teaching Civil Procedure) and at the William Boyd Law School at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (teaching Property Law and Cyberlaw). Teaching from Experience

MHG brings a unique blend of real world legal experience and skill as a classroom teacher to his work as a law professor. Drawing from over 43 years in practice, he is able to illustrate his lectures and classroom discussion with practical examples and tips that students find valuable.

Technology in the Classroom

Legal education in the 21st Century has to include the use of the same technology students will encounter in practice. MHG uses Zoom, TWEN sites, PowerPoint slides, tablets, thumb drives, and related technology on a regular basis, and stays current with new developments in the use of tech in legal education.

Engaged Scholarship in the Classroom

The articles, books, and essays MHG authors provide a rich source of material for his work in the classroom. Being able to refer to these works and to incorporate a deeper understanding of a topic gained from his research enhances his ability to reach and connect with students.

Developing New Courses for a New Kind of Legal Practitioner

MHG has developed a number of new courses that are designed to help students meet the needs of contemporary legal practice. Courses developed include Navigating New Technology Developments for Lawyers; Solo and Small Firm Practice; Content Licensing; Introduction to Privacy Law.
